NHR provides the highest quality nuclear medicine examinations with state-of-the-art imaging systems. Board-certified radiologists with subspecialty training provide all imaging studies. Professionally credentialed technologists and nurses staff our facilities. Our sites are designed to provide optimal patient comfort in the most efficient manner.
Our high-resolution gamma cameras offer whole body and spot imaging as well as single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). NHR sites have the ability to perform all types of nuclear medicine examinations including:
- Tumor specific scintigraphy (Octreoscan, MIBG and Prostascint)
- Lymphoscintigrapy (day before or the day of operative procedures)
Our nuclear medicine physicians are certified by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to administer I-131 for thyroid disease therapy.
Our Siemens Biograph and GE Discovery Whole body PET/CT systems combine high performance multislice CT with advanced 3D positron emission tomography. Our integrated cameras provide superior image quality and fast imaging times. Large bore gantry systems optimize patient comfort and reduce feelings of claustrophobia. Our PET/CT program has been designed to facilitate earlier diagnosis of disease, more accurate staging, improved monitoring and therapy planning. In addition to general diagnostic PET/CT imaging, we are equipped with the latest radiation therapy planning platforms.
